Holy shit. I just experienced my first blizzard last week. It killed my internet, and snowed us in for days. I've never seen so much snow! AHHH!! They finally cleared the streets, so maybe I can do that grocery shopping I was supposed to do.
This one led to a very intense grammatical debate with my parents (abuela jumped in too) over "hiciemos." Haciemos, Hicimos, Hiciemos... I was going for past tense, since abuelita doesn't live in Cuba anymore, however, she wanted me to change it to "haciemos." I'm not really sure of the difference between Hicimos and Hiciemos... I thought they were both preterite/imperfect. I just tried to go with what sounded right at the time. Any hispanohablantes who want to help me out are welcome to join in.
I was reading about flexible circuit boards that the japanese are going to use to create synthetic skin with the ability to sense heat and weight of pressure, and how they're going to use them to help robots know how gently or how firmly to grasp things, and then I was reading about those prosthetic limbs being developed by DARPA that are capable of fine motor function as well sensory function (hot/cold, location of touch, etc), and I've decided that
